GTA VI PC requirements
No PC version of GTA VI has been confirmed yet. Here’s what’s official, what isn’t, and a cautious estimate of the setup to plan for once Rockstar announces it.
None of this is official
Rockstar has announced neither a date nor system requirements for a GTA VI PC version. The figures below are estimates built from PS5 / Xbox Series X|S hardware and the studio’s past release patterns — treat them as a likely trend, not a promise.
Console first, PC: undated
The official GTA VI page lists only PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S for November 19, 2026. No PC version, date, or system requirements have been communicated by Rockstar Games so far.
Rockstar and PC: always delayed
GTA V reached PC 19 months after its console release. Red Dead Redemption 2 took about 13 months. If GTA VI follows that pattern, a PC version would be plausible between late 2027 and 2028 — a calculation based on the past, not an announced date.
Setup to plan for (unofficial)
Built from current console hardware. Will be refined as soon as Rockstar publishes real specifications.

| RAM | 16 GB | 32 GB |
| Storage | 150 GB, NVMe SSD required | 150 GB, NVMe SSD required |

What people ask us most
Can I pre-order GTA VI on PC?
No. Pre-orders open since June 25, 2026 cover PS5 and Xbox Series X|S only.
Will framerate be uncapped on PC?
Nothing is confirmed. On previous Rockstar titles, the PC version always lifted the console’s 30/60 FPS cap — likely, but not guaranteed.
Will my current PC be enough?
An NVMe SSD and at least 16 GB of RAM are a reasonable baseline to target now, without waiting for the official announcement.
